Northampton Media hosts DA candidates at Fundraiser on Friday

Mary Serreze and David Reid, reporters and producers at NorthamptonMedia.com, cordially invite you to a party at the Northampton Country Club on Friday the 10th to benefit our local upstart newsroom. We just can't seem to help covering local news here, even while living on peanut butter and toast. Oh, and the occasional pint.

Come on out and mix it up a bit. Doors open at 6 p.m. If you're broke and you love us, we'll let you in our cost, which is $10; $20 is the suggested donation. If you love us and are feeling generous, then toss us a few more dimes on your way in and we'll love you back. Or at least you thank you prodigiously.

All proceeds will go to the essentials of keeping the lights on in our fledgling newsroom. We're devoted to providing fair, in-depth, fact-based municipal and regional environmental reporting.

Northwestern District Attorney candidates David Sullivan and Michael Cahillane are scheduled to make an appearance; both will be given about ten minutes to speak around 7:30, and will be introduced by reporter David Reid.

We'll have a jazz trio playing, lots of hot hors d'ouevres, and a cash bar.

We want to make friends, increase our circle, and get the word out. Just show up at the door; we're going to have a great time.
